'Tis the Season...

...for celebrating, enjoying others and change. .

...celebrating...getting together with family during this Christmas season. We are going to mom's tomorrow and that is always a great time. Sabrina gets to come and loves her grandma because she gives her treats. Sabrina always has a smile on her face - she even knows who 'granny ann' is.

...enjoying others...I have been working long hours these past four weeks that I look forward to coming home and seeing Cath. Our weekends together are precious and we usually spend it laughing and playing cards. We just got Season 5 of West Wing and love watching these episodes.

...change...My boss left today for a great opportunity in Arizona. As I helped him pack his office, my eyes got misty. Even though I'm excited for him, we have spent the last 4 years together and so today was filled with mixed emotions.

There is snow on the ground this year and so I am hopeful I won't lose too many perennials in the spring. Last week we had our first snow storm of the season and took out our new toy - the 'snow thrower'. We bought this monster last year and had no snow! You should have seen me trying to maneuver this thing - I felt like a laurel and hardy movie - it has 5 forward speeds and two reverse speeds. As I was trying to coordinate my hands with my brain, it took me around the driveway and I lost control. At one point, I was in the middle of the street - it was actually really funny to see. Well we made a decision to sell the monster and buy a snow pup that we can handle. It must be an age thing!
